When and where LBSITW was estab­lished?

L.B.S Insti­tute of Tech­nol­ogy for Women was estab­lished in 2001 under the aus­pi­cious of L.B.S Cen­tre for Sci­ence and Tech­nol­ogy, Trivandrum.

Is it a Gov­ern­ment col­lege or a pri­vate college?
LBSITW is a self-financing engi­neer­ing col­lege under L.B.S Cen­tre for Sci­ence and Tech­nol­ogy, Trivan­drum. L.B.S Cen­tre is a Gov­ern­ment of Ker­ala Under­tak­ing. The chair­man of the Gov­ern­ing body is Hon­ourable Chief Min­is­ter of Ker­ala and Vice-Chairman is Hon­ourable Min­is­ter for Edu­ca­tion, Govt. of Kerala.

What pro­grammes does LBSITW offers? No: of seats?
The Col­lege offers four B.Tech pro­grammes. The intake for B.Tech course is 60 per branch.

LBSITW is per­ma­nently affil­i­ated to Uni­ver­sity of Ker­ala.

Who con­ducts the exam­i­na­tion? Who will award degree?
In spite of inter­nal eval­u­a­tion by the Col­lege, Uni­ver­sity of Ker­ala con­ducts exam­i­na­tions in every semes­ter. The Uni­ver­sity awards degrees to the candidates.

Dura­tion of the courses?
The dura­tion of the B.Tech pro­gramme is 4 years (8 semes­ters). Nor­mally the first year classes com­mences in the first week of September.

How do I get to the col­lege? How far is it from the rail­way sta­tion? 
The col­lege is sit­u­ated in the heart of Thiru­vanan­tha­pu­ram city at Poo­japura which is about 4 km from Thiru­vanan­tha­pu­ram Cen­tral Rail­way Sta­tion and KSRTC Bus sta­tion. The Near­est air­port, Thiru­vanan­tha­pu­ram Inter­na­tional Air­port is about 15 km from the college.
